GeoMaster New update

GeoMaster V1.41.0 – In case you missed it

Mid-year update brings ArcGIS Pro 3.4 support, and powerful new features.

We’re excited to announce the release of GeoMaster v1.41.0, bringing enhanced compatibility, new features, performance improvements, and more robust reporting capabilities to support your forestry management workflows.

ArcGIS Pro 3.4 Now Supported

This mid-year update introduces full support for ArcGIS Pro 3.4.x while continuing support for ArcGIS Pro3.3x.

New Features in GeoMaster v1.41.0

This release brings a wide range of new tools and enhancements to streamline your forest data management:

Migrate
Planned
Stands

You can now migrate planned stands into actual patches with the new Migrate Planned Stand utility.

This tool is ideal for organisations that plan new land areas before formally adding them to the Patch layer.

Snapshot
PatchOperations Table

This new snapshot table records events by patch, including landbank and non-productive patches.

It enables precise event tracking across various patch types and is designed for integration with ArcGIS Online.

Multi-Forest Event Management

To prevent user errors with region-specific access, warnings now appear when creating or editing events that span multiple forests.

The Diagnostics Report will also flag events assigned to patches from different forests.

Chemical
Thinning Support

GeoMaster now supports chemical-based thinning operations, including the ability to store products and active ingredients specific to thinning events.

These appear in the Chemical Usage, Stand Operations, and Thinning Prescription reports.

Chemical Usage Reporting

Chemical Usage Reports now include stand-level reporting. The data is exportable to CSV, and includes calculated application rates based on patch size or stocking estimates, enhancing traceability and compliance.

Assessment
Name Storage

Assessment Planner now stores the Stratum Name with the event in GeoMaster, visible on the Assessment Tab, providing clearer historical context.

Stockbook
Report Improvements

A new option allows exclusion of archived harvest areas from the total cutover calculation, ensuring more accurate reporting for NSA totals.

Risks Page on Event Forms

Event forms (e.g., Planting, Thinning) now include a Risks tab, listing intersecting risk features. A star icon indicates if any risks are present, and this data can be included in generated prescriptions.

Performance Improvements and Fixes

  • Harvest Manager Performance: Significant improvements when using ArcGIS Pro – up to 50% faster on average.
  • Multi-Region Event Error Handling: Systems now issue warnings (instead of errors) when users without cross-region permissions open events spanning multiple regions.

GeoMaster for ArcGIS Pro Enhancements

  • Find Tool: Improved to better match ArcMap functionality. Now you can search for harvest areas without specifying a forest.
  • Profile Tool: Now accessible directly from the GeoMaster ribbon under Utilities. Create terrain profiles using DEM and polyline input.
